Black Beauty® Elderberry Plant
Description
Rave reviews in Europe!
This plant sensation of Europe is finally available here. Black Beauty is a real breakthrough. The foliage is black, and the color intensifies throughout the summer. In late June, this plant produces unique 10” clusters of star shaped, pink flowers with a sweet lemon fragrance which provide a startling contrast with the dark foliage. Produces good quality black berries when cross-pollinated with another black elderberry. Can reach 8-10 ft. tall, but you can cut it back each year as you would any ornamental perennial. Very resilient and adaptable.
Note: Elderberries must be cooked before consumption. Consuming fresh elderberries can be toxic. Please ensure all berries are properly prepared before use.
