Description

Sweet, tangy, and unique!

Native to parts of Siberia, these plants excel in northern gardens. The fruit of honeyberries or sometimes referred to as haskaps have flavor comparable to wild blueberries with a hint of currant and ripens two weeks earlier than strawberries.

Honeyberries can be eaten fresh, but these berries truly shine when made into tasty jam. Plants have small, cream-colored flowers in spring and attractive flat-green leaves through summer. Berry Blue™ Honeyberries ripen late May, early June. These are cold-hardy and perfect for northern climates.

For this specimen to produce, it’ll need a different honeyberry plant that blooms around the same time to pollinate it.

Getting honey berries!
We are happy with this variety, it is giving us a bunch of berries in the 2nd year. They grew better for us when we put irrigation on it and the other 3 varieties of honey berries we bought from Stark Bros. It's thriving now.

grows well
we have 3 plants, they are growing great. Make sure you fence them off from the rabbits, otherwise they will chew them to the ground.

Slow but Great
I was one of the 2 stars, but now our honeyberry plants have been in the ground like 6 years and I love them! It is true that they were slow growing for the first 3 years. But now they're doing great and give lots of berries! I like that they do well in shade too. They're yummy! We look forward to them every year and they fruit first which is exciting, about a week or maybe 2 before red currants.

It came in alive and healthy and still growing
I bought this because I needed the male and no where near my area had any. So I bought one from here and it has already pollinated my female so I'm super happy!

Creeping right along
Slow growers, but absolute champs. They’re in the “creep” portion of the “sleep, creep, leap” plant cycle, but they’re all alive and all have a ton of new growth- even in this heat!!
