Questions & Answers
I live in the Florence area and my Tribute are doing wonderfully. In fact they are my favorite here. If that helps any I know the temps vary in Charleston and Florence SC but I love them
Do you mean will it produce runners that can be cut and planted to create new plants? If so, the answer is yes. To plant the runners, I gently lift the roots of the runner out and plant it in a small pot. Once it's established in the pot, I cut the part of the runner connecting it to the original plant and plant the potted runner in the ground.
Yes - I had my best crop the first and second years then they began to dwindle so root your runners and use as replacement plants
All of our trees, plants and seeds are non-GMO.
We have had very good luck with these berries. We were concerned about
planting so late in the season so were vigilant to water, weed and remove
first year blooms. We did have a hot and humid summer.
Today they are fully filled in, lush and full of blooms and berries. Can hardly wait for
them to ripen and start picking.
"Vigorous" means they grow quickly and "day neutral" is just another name for everbearing, meaning they flower and fruit throughout summer and into fall instead of putting out all their fruit in June the way June-bearing strawberry plants do.
Yes, indeed. You will get many more berries with different varieties planted near one another.
We have grown Tribute for years, so thought that we would try Tristar also.
Tristar was slower to establish, had fewer berries and a large core. I will not plant they again here in northern Colorado
Strawberries are perennials — they go through a period of dormancy in the winter and return each spring ready to go again. With a minimal amount of preparation for getting them through the winter,
X 12 foot space to fill.
As stated in the Size & Spacing characteristics, "We recommend spacing these plants 12" apart to ensure room for growth." They can be planted closer, but, with their mature size in mind, the plants are easier to maintain with their ideal spacing.
Customer Reviews
I planted them the same day and within a week, I noticed new green growth starting to pop up. It's clear these are high-quality plants with strong potential. I'm especially excited about the Tribute variety since it produces all season long-can't wait for fresh berries straight from the garden!
Stark Bros consistently delivers top-notch products, and these strawberries are no exception. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start or expand their berry patch.
Because I couldn't get 25 bare root Tristars. If I could get them for the same price, I would rather have them.
