Why did you choose this?

I think these are the best fresh apples.

My mother's favorite baking apple is a winesap. But they are hard to come by most times. So I decided to start growing my own. My goal is to not only have a quality supply of baking apples but also to…

Loved it as a child

My all time favorite as a child. I loved their tart/crisp flavor and crunch. You can’t find them in the markets anymore. I was so excited when I saw your offering!

New variety for the orchard
One year from planting and the trees are looking great. These are a new variety for our orchard. During the first year, the trees grew nicely and came back after the winter season with new growth.

My trees arrived in record time very, very well packaged with the potting medium still perfectly moist. They did not appear stressed at all. We planted them and gave them a drink. Even though it was time for them to start going dormant, they perked up and settled back for the winter ahead. I am so anxious for when they start to bear fruit as winesap apples are my favorite apple. IMHO, the best pie apple that ever was.

Stayman Winesap
I am so excited to have these trees growing. They have grown approximately 2 feet in drip line and height in 4 months. The trees were about 4 feet high once planted and look amazing. They are watered 3 times a week because it has been so dry this year but they look so healthy and green.

Started growing just as soon as I planted them.
Trees arrived in good condition and or doing well after planting. This Summer has been very hot which can be hard on a young tree. I watered them as needed and my two new trees have done well in the heat.

Pretty apple
This apple has been a little slower to grow than my other baby trees. It still has lots of new growth and seems to be doing well.
