Description

A Stark Bro's Exclusive!

Double your harvest! Unlike tip-bearing apple trees, this tree’s spur-type nature allows fruit to form along each limb — bearing from the trunk out. This means more of your favorite Golden apples from one tree. May crop heavily, so thin fruit to avoid biennial bearing and fruit drop. Harvest a bounty of crisp, juicy apples with delectable sweetness and a hint of spice. Originates from Parker, Washington in 1961. Cold-hardy and heat-tolerant. Ripens in late September. Self-pollinating.

Survival Guaranteed!

Since 1816, Stark Bro’s has promised to provide customers with the very best fruit trees and plants. It’s just that simple. If your trees or plants do not survive, please let us know within one year of delivery. We will send you a free one-time replacement, with a nominal shipping fee of $9.99. Stark Golden Delicious vs. Starkspur Golden Delicious
I just received my Starkspur Golden Delicious semi-dwarf tree, as a 4 ft. barerooted tree, a few weeks ago. It actually has a few open flowers on the tree, now. I don't expect these blooms to produce fruit, but for it to be prepared to do so, this soon, speaks volumes. I am well pleased with the Starkspur Golden Delicious. My other regular, semi-dwarf Golden Delicious , has yet to bloom, after TWO YEARS, in the ground.

Quick Grower
The tree arrived with the roots established in a block of soil. We planted it immediately and it actually blossomed near the top this spring (2 months after planting). We then had to prune it back and cut off the blossoms. but the sprouting braches are doing quite well. As I said it was not a bare root specimin and it has grown the fastest of any tree we have purchased from Stark's
