Why did you choose this?

Love taste of white nectarines want to be able to have trees

Compatible with plant zone. 9A is tough for plants

Cold hardiness and ratings.

I read a positive review from a person in zone 8b and we are in 8b. Also like that it requires less chill time than other nectarines. I like white flesh vs yellow flesh nectarines.

Freestone or cling nectarine?

Free stone

Can this be grown n a container? Or is it a tree

Yes this tree can be grown in a container. My tree is in a large container. It has grown very tall, about 8 feet in this container.
It gave me hundreds of blossoms this spring and now I see many fruit the size of grapes now.
I make sure it has plenty of water and fertilizer. Sometime during the summer, if needed I add more soil to the pot. I have been adding some coconut fiber to the soil to keep it loose.
Good Luck!

Is the root stock root knot nematode resistant on snow queen nectarine?

We appreciate you reaching out to us. We use several different rootstocks, depending upon the desired result and what is available. For that reason, we're unable to guarantee a specific rootstock.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!

Is this highly susceptible to brown rot & other stone diseases out there?

Yes and no. You have to use Neem oil spray and make sure to spray top and bottom of the leaves. And start while the leaves are still healthy. If you start seeing brown patches on the leaves remove them immediately so the disease doesn’t spread.

Chill hours ?

The 'Snow Queen' nectarine requires approximately 250 to 300 chill hours—the cumulative number of hours below 45°F during winter—for optimal fruit production.

Cold tolerance of a snow queen nectarine tree?

The Snow Queen Nectarine Tree is a deciduous fruit tree prized for its sweet, white-fleshed nectarines. Here's an overview of its cold tolerance:

Cold Tolerance
USDA Hardiness Zones: 7–9.
Minimum Temperature: The tree can typically withstand temperatures as low as 10–20°F (-12 to -6°C) when dormant.
Frost Sensitivity: The tree’s blossoms and developing fruit are sensitive to late spring frosts. Once active growth begins, temperatures below 28°F (-2°C) can damage flowers and young fruit.
Factors Influencing Cold Tolerance
Dormancy:

While dormant, the tree is more tolerant of freezing temperatures. Early or late frosts when the tree is budding or blooming are more damaging.
Chill Hour Requirements:

The Snow Queen nectarine typically requires 250–300 chill hours (hours below 45°F) to break dormancy and ensure good fruit production.
This low chill hour requirement makes it more suitable for regions with mild winters.
Location and Microclimates:

Planting in a sheltered location, such as near a south-facing wall or away from frost pockets, can help protect the tree from cold damage.
Protection Tips in Cold Weather
Mulch: Apply a layer of mulch around the base to insulate the roots.
Frost Cloth or Covering: Use a frost cloth to protect blooms during unexpected late frosts.
Watering: Water the tree thoroughly before a freeze; moist soil retains heat better.
Windbreaks: Provide protection from cold winds, which can increase stress.

It's only been a month since our Snow Queen Nectarine Tree arrived.
This will be the first hot summer that it will experience in Southern Utah. It is well watered and the attached photo will show that it is adapting.

My Nectarine tree is amazing. I have it in a very large pot. Last year, I had 6 fruit. This year the blossoms were all over the tree by the hundreds. Now the tree has so many grape sized fruit.
It has grown to 8 feet in this pot. I keep it watered and fresh soil/coconut fiber and fertilized.
Pleased as I can be. It is beautiful.

Snow Queen
The SQ has taken off like a weed with vigorous lush green growth. About 12-18 inches so far. Being in the south, I was concerned humidity. So far with daily averages of 60% and high heat, no problem. The next test will be February freezing and snow.

Quality
Ordered 3 different types of trees all looked healthy and began growing very quick. Unfortunately for me one of my cattle got out and ate them all.
