Description

Eva’s Pride Peach is a new and distinct yellow peach with outstanding rich flavor for warm-winter climates! Eva’s Pride is a heavy and regular producer of medium-large, firm, yellow and red-streaked fruit. The flesh is incredibly sweet and juicy, a bib may be required! This clingstone variety stores and ships well.

A very low chill requirement of just 100-200 hours, makes this variety perfect for the South. Prune this vigorous peach tree regularly for the best results. Eva’s Pride peaches ripen mid-June to early July – about 3 weeks before July Elberta. Eva’s Pride is self-pollinating and prefers deep, infrequent watering.

Is there any way to speed up the  year to bere fruit ?

most bare root fruit trees ive got here and other source produce by second year in ground some the first by third you start to see more fruit..the only way would be a controlled light and temp environment where you control the weather and light cycles. indoor or green house with light deprivation.

planted peach tree ten days ago now have brown twigs?

That is normal due to dormancy but we recommend you try a scratch test: //www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/article/how-to-do-a-scratch-test
If that test determines the tree is no longer living and in need of replacement, please contact our Customer Support Team at 800.325.4180. They'd be happy to help.

Can it be grown in a container?  I’m not allowed to plant trees in the ground in my community garden.

You can grow almost anything in a container! This excellent article will answer your questions and provide good advice. Please see "Growing Fruit Trees in Containers"

What is the cold hardiness for eva's pride peach tree.  Temperature wise ? Thanks

Most peach varieties can suffer bud and new growth damage at temperatures around -15°F (-26°C) and may be killed at temperatures near -25°F (-31°C).

Do you think this peach variety would grow well and produce fruit in a cool Pacific coast location? Specifically we are in Pacific Grove, CA about 1000 feet to the ocean. Sunset zone 17 and USDA zone 10A. We never get very warm, occasionally to 70s, very rarely to the 80s, and also lots of fog. We would plant on the south side of the house with light colored stucco to reflect onto the tree.

I live in Santa Cruz, and I bought this one two years ago hoping it would like the climate. It didn't last.

Do U ship to Australia ?

Unfortunately, at this time we cannot ship products outside the United States, or to Hawaii.

What is semi dwarf?

A semi dwarf fruit tree will mature 12-15 feet.

Highly recommend for places with fluctuating winter weather
I want to start off by saying, I have 5 peach trees and 3 different varieties. Only 1 has ever given me peaches and only 1 time. I live in zone 9a and it rains ALL the time so I put my trees in pots because they get root rot otherwise. I purchased the Eva's Pride bare root tree last year in early March and it already had flowers when it came. So once I planted it of course the flowers fell off but it continued to put on healthy growth. In late January/ early February of this year, our weather warmed up and the tree started blooming. We had several freezes since and the blooms survived. I have tons of peaches growing, it's now early March 2023. My other peach trees are just waking up. Will be replacing my trees with Eva's Pride as they die out.
