Flamin' Fury® (PF 8 Ball) Peach Tree
Description
A late-bloomer, but an early ripener. PF 8 Ball (named for its near-perfect roundness) ripens about a week and a half before Redhaven, but is a big peach with high color, excellent texture, lots of natural sugar content and delightful flavor. Its late-blooming nature staves off some of the risk of frost damaging the tender buds. The lovely, globe-shaped fruit hangs well on the tree for successive harvesting. Freestone. Resistant to bacterial spot. Ripens in mid-July. Self-pollinating, but yields bigger crops when planted near a different peach variety with a similar bloom time.

In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. Plant one of these varieties within 100' for best results.
