Description

A drip-down-your-chin peach. One of the juiciest peaches around, with very firm, fine-flavored, yellow flesh. The bright red skin is simply beautiful. Suncrest is the peach immortalized by the book Epitaph for a Peach: Four Seasons on My Family Farm, by David Mas Masumoto (1995). Blooms later than most peaches; the blossoms can take a frost. This consistent producer originated in Fresno, CA and was introduced in 1959. Freestone. Self-pollinating, but yields bigger crops when planted near a different peach variety with a similar bloom time. Ripens in August. Photo courtesy of Regents of the University of California.

Sorry, very good
Bought mine in October and put in a container outside in Virginia zone 8 to pet it begin accumulating chill hours. It was just a lonely little stick back then. Now in mid March, the weather is warming up a bit and there are leaves sprouting and flowers blossoming all up and down the stem. Looks like this is gonna work out great.

I absolutely love my Suncrest Peach Tree. It looked much like a dead stick when it arrived in spring but now it is so beautiful. I am looking forward to next year when it grows beautiful juicy fruit. Thank you for a great tree.

My suncrest peach has not come out of dormancy. The Elberta is doing great, but no sign of life on the Suncrest. Ordinarily, I'm very satisfied with my Stark trees.

Arrived in great shape and quickly settled in. I was soooo looking forward watching it grow and give me fruit in a year or two. And then one morning I woke up to see the poor thing had been cut down, presumably by the ground hog that had recently made a home under the shed nearby! I will probably try again. ??
