I like Bartlets but they are not for my zone

I had one several years ago and the pears were great. Unfortunately, I lost the tree and several others to a blight. So, I decided to get another.

So Far So Good
Trees arrived healthy and hardy. Took well to planting and are budding nicely after their first winter. Deer have not eaten them yet.

very healthy, expect fruit next year
I purchased 5 bare root pear trees from Stark Bros last year. Four of the 5 are doing extremely well, up to 10' tall already and healthy. This is one of the very healthy ones. I think the 5th one is in a poor spot and will consider moving it in the fall. I would recommend purchasing the bare root trees.

So far so good!
Planted this in zone 4 last spring and it grew nicely, survived a -30 streak in February and is leading out now in May! Excited to see how well it grows this year!
