Description

Save money and guarantee proper pollination when you buy a persimmon tree collection. Proper pollinators are conveniently included for you, so you won’t miss out on the abundance of flowers and fruit from these persimmon trees. Plus, you’ll get a discounted price when purchasing a collection compared to purchasing the trees individually.
Note: Our persimmon trees are grown in EZ Start® pots, which allow the roots to self-air prune and redirect energy to producing a dense mass of feeder roots. The main tap root will begin forming once planted in its permanent location, and will fully develop over the next 2-3 years.

The EZ pot solves issue of persimmon???s (d.v.) deep tap root. The package deal of Prok & Yates together is a great package for eating and wildlife as well. They???ll be my early ripening DVs in my deer clusters.

I am an avid whitetail hunter. I have read a lot on the attraction power of the persimmon. From the other reviews, I believe this will survive the northern Pennsylvania winters. I will give it a shot.

what is the difference between an American Persimmon tree and an Asian Persimmon Tree?
Tina N on Aug 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The fruit of the American Persimmon is much smaller. But the big difference is that the Asian Persimmons I'm familiar with are not astringent (DRY!!!) before totally ripe.
Also the flavor is somewhat different. Just like different varieties of apples are different, the same is true with persimmons.
Can it be pruned to stay like a dwarf tree. It the fruit good for eating?
Lefty on Jan 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Persimmons are wonderful for fresh eating, considered a real delicacy. They can indeed be pruned to stay small with a little diligence and cuts in the right places.

New Growth!!!
Great product! I placed an order for a Double Play American Persimmon Tree Collection last October (2018) because I thought I would give them a head start this spring. The two came in a very good condition. One is healthier and taller than the other (2.5 ft and 3 ft). I put them into the ground as instructed. Unfortunately, we had a lot of snow this past winter. Snow snapped the healthier and taller one, so it is gone :( The other one now has new growth, which looks good. I am happy about it because the persimmon made through the rough winter!

If I had the opportunity to receive them I may be able to rate the actual product
How disappointing. I placed my order last winter with the original ship date of May 2019. I received an email in May of 2019, saying my order had been delayed. I contacted customer service and was told the Persimmon needed more time to grow. I didn't receive anything in June, I called in July and was told the same information. Come September I contacted them again and was assured I would be receiving them the end of the month. Now today, October 11, 2019 I received an email saying my order was cancelled. I called customer service and was told they won't have the Persimmon this fall or next spring. Poor communication and an over promise, which makes me not want to order again from this company.
