It's been doing well in a container since last Fall. I'm planning to put it in the ground before winter.

Fall 2018 planted at 6,400 ft. elevation in COLORADO
I took a chance last fall and planted 1 Chinook hops. Thus far, in late summer 2019, the plant is healthy and growing. There are no flowers, but I anticipate some next year.
So far, so good.

Chinook hops rock!
I planted my bine in spring ‘18. It came back strong this year, despite the cold and rain. It’s a beautiful addition to my Brooklyn rooftop container garden.

Chinook and Nugget Hops
Both varieties very vigorous, about 3 vines each plant, reaching more than 10 feet in length, only 1 year after planting.

StarkBros is great
I don’t have a bad thing to say about StarkBros. Prompt shipping. Everything came in good condition and we didn’t have a dud in the bunch! I do wish, however, that I had paid attention to their recomendations and had our soil pH checked. Everything else about were they are planted is ideal, but we’ve had extremely slow growth because of pH issues. We later found out that our sandy soil and abundance of pine trees really requires more than yearly tune ups.

Plant was healthy on arrival but has not grown as much as others planted at the same time and didn't produce any hops on it's second year
