Mount Hood Hops Bine
Description
Exceptional aroma with balanced bitterness. Spicy and herbal aromatic qualities similar to its parent German Hallertau (Mittelfrueh) and popular German variety Hersbrucker. Used in a wide range of brewing, but is favored for American craft beers. Also related to Crystal, Liberty, and Ultra varieties. Medium-size, compact cones are easy to harvest. Disease-resistant to downy mildew. Mulch for winter protection. Named for Mt. Hood volcano in Oregon. Originates from Oregon in 1983. Introduced in 1989. Ripens in early August.
