Limelight Prime® Hydrangea
Description
About Limelight Prime® Hydrangea
Limelight Prime® Hydrangea is the next generation of the beloved Limelight hydrangea, offering enhanced features and performance. This refined variety boasts darker, healthier foliage, stronger stems, and a more compact growth habit. The blooms emerge vivid lime green, maintain their color longer, and transition to bubblegum pink, eventually finishing as a rich punch pink. With its earlier blooming period, Limelight Prime® ensures a long-lasting display of vibrant colors throughout the season.
How to Grow Limelight Prime® Hydrangea
Limelight Prime® Hydrangea thrives in full sun to partial sun and well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA Zones 3-8, it grows to a height of 4-6 feet and a width of 4-5 feet, making it ideal for gardens of all sizes.
This variety blooms on new wood, so prune in late winter or early spring by cutting back the main branches by one-third. The strong stems hold the large blooms upright, even after storms. Ideal for borders, containers, or as a focal point, Limelight Prime® is easy to care for and does not require deadheading. Its compact size, early blooming, and long-lasting display make it a versatile and rewarding addition to any garden, providing continuous color from early summer through fall.
