I was a little surprised when I received these tiny little sticks! How long will it take these to start to take shape and actually bloom?
Nicci H on May 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We bought ours in 2014. We have two of them. They were about 6 inches tall last year but actually bloomed. This year, they are still about 6 inches tall but haven't bloomed yet. I am hoping they would grow another 6 inches before they bloom but we'll see.
How large are these Hydrangea at time of shipment?
Steve B on May 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not big, about 6 inches or so? Mine is planted on part shade on its 3rd year now, still smaller than I expected (hope it will grow more this year).

Satisfied
Grew in well after first season.
Relocated it to its home this spring and it is happy so far.
Arrived healthy, grew strong even in the hot dry summer last year.
Only one bloom last year might be next year before it looks great, but better than I could have got at a nursery or HD for price.

I was very disappointed when the Hydrangea arrived as it was very small in size for the price I paid. The plant did not survive the winter.
I bought a hydrangea from Lowe's for a similar price and it was much larger and survived the winter. I suggest that you do not purchase hydrangeas from Stark, but stick to their main products-fruit trees (which have done well for me)..
