I was looking for something that would make a great hedge, bloom and smell good all summer long

We purchased bushes years ago and we were/are very happy with the purchase. StarkBro's produces healthy and strong plants. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful. I wanted a smaller purple Lilac that blooms all season. I also love butterflies and have about 80 hummingbirds that return each year. Did I mention purple is my favorite color?

hello I purchased and planted 8 boomerang lilacs about 6 weeks ago....they look healthy and green...but don't seem to be growing any.....what should I do ???? thanks Mike
Mike T on Jun 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As long as you're giving them enough sun and water and appropriate fertilization, I wouldn't worry. By the end of summer you will notice a difference and next year the new shoots will really fill it out :)
Is this plant blooming?
Dewey D on May 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It bloomed lightly almost as soon as I planted it last summer, so I didn't have much hope for this Spring. However, in spite of a cool, late Spring, it is blooming its little heart out. I have it in an 18" diameter container on a sunny, windy penthouse terrace, so it will probably never be as big or bushy as the photo. But as for flower production, it's a trooper.
How well does the reblooming lilac do in direct sun?
Joli! on May 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I do not have too much sun in my yard just enough for a couple of hours. It did not grow since last year but it does have some flowers on it.
Can I plant the boomerang lilac in the same 2'x2' planter as the josee lilac?
Dana G on Jun 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why not but use a big enough pot to let it expand n grow me personally planted mine in my garden n thought this twig isn't going to grow this year I have a nice size bush developing I'm glad I allowed space for it to develop I also bought a cherry tree which the first dud nothing but they replaced it this year at growing season n it's developed alot of leaves on it starks prods are great

Love my lilac
I planted Bloomerang last summer in a 24" diameter pot on my penthouse terrace, in a spot that gets sun most of the day and considerable wind. It surprised me by blooming in September. I figured that its biological clock was out of sync and didn't expect much this Spring, especially since April was cold and May, so far, has been steadily rainy. But it leafed out enthusiastically and has been blooming its little heart out for the last couple of weeks. It still looks like a baby shrub but it seems very healthy, and I am expecting good things from it. (Now I must read up on how and when to prune for thickness and reliable bloom.) I was considering giving it only four stars because the fragrance is a bit weak, but it's such a nice addition to the collection I stayed with five.

All seems to be good.
It was very small when we received it so we put it in a large container and kept it in the basement under a grow lite through the winter. It did actually put on a few small blooms this spring and is beginning to get bigger. Soon we will plant it in the ground. All seems to be well with it now and we think it will do fine. Check back later if you wish. Thank you very much. John

Bloomerang Purple Lilac
The lilac was shipped quickly by Starks and arrived very healthy looking. I've had it for two years and the first winter was brutally cold with lot of snow and the second winter extremely mild and survived both well. The lilac is now about three feet tall and loaded with blossoms. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and would highly recommend.

So far I am very happy with the Reblooming Lilac. It wintered well and is still growing. As it is early in the season I have not seen it rebloom but I am confidante it will. I would definitely recommend this product

Repeat winner
These plants were very small when they arrived, but they grew quickly and bloomed the first season. We had more growth and blooms again this spring and I look forward to the repeat bloom this summer.
