Description

A customer favorite for generations. This classic shrub bursts into bloom with branches covered by fragrant, purple spires. These lilacs will bring a lovely scent to your yard and can be used to make beautiful bouquets. Plant multiples to create an attractive hedge. Extremely hardy and thrives in all types of soil. Grows most successfully in full sun. Cold-hardy. Matures to be 6-10' tall and 5-6' wide. Blooms in late spring. Sold in packages of 10. Shipped 1-2 feet.

Are the "fragrant" ones by chance Persian Lilacs?

BEST ANSWER: The Fragrant Purple lilac is Syringa vulgaris while Persian lilacs are Syringa × persica.
I heard it takes 7 years before the lilac bush bears flowers. True?

BEST ANSWER: Deer will eat anything if they're hungry enough, but lilacs are not favored by either deer or rabbits.

Great Stark's bargain lilacs
At just under $23 for a bundle of 10 lilacs, I was expecting twigs, but the bare root plants I got were all over 30 inches tall. A couple of them even put forth blossoms last summer, their first summer in the ground. We are having an early spring here, and the leaves are already in bud. I'm looking forward to watching these grow into a nice hedge with a heavenly scent when they are in bloom.

Lots of bang

Very healthy plants
These Lilac trees are very healthy. They arrived with buds and after planted they turned into full lives immediately. New leaves came out and all 10 grow happily. I just need to find out how fragrant the flowers are.

Perfect
We planted 20 seedlings last year, they shipped with all the instructions as we don't have green thumbs which was great.. Took some nurturing that first year but this year they came back in full bloom we even had 2 plants with actual lilacs. Out if 20 we received we have 2 that aren't quite as bountiful as the others but the are coming along. Looking forward to the next few years watching them grow!

Love them!
I planted my lilacs last spring and they've grown so fast in just a yr. I've kept mulch around them constantly. Very impressed with the quality and quantity for the price. I bought 10 more this year.
