How long does this take to mature?
Jayne C on Jun 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Of course, much depends on what kind of soil it's planted in, and other factors like sun, rainfall, nutrients and drainage, but this should be full size within 4-5 years. When your plant matures, it will be approximately 4 - 6' tall x 4 - 5' wide.
What does it look like in the winter? I'm trying to decide where to place it in my yard.
cmcree on Apr 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Weigela is a deciduous plant, meaning it will drop its leaves after a couple of killing frosts. It will bloom until fall, when the leaves turn a very deep purple, then drop for the winter.
Will it attract butterflies?

I LOVE THESE BEAUTIFUL WEIGELAS. THEY HAVE PRETTY FLOWERS AND LEAVES. I PLANTED THEM IN FRONT YARD, SO THE NEIGHBORS COULD ENJOY THEM TOO. I WOULD RECOMMEND.
