I live 300 yards on a bluff over the ocean in southern oregon, We seldom have any frost in the winter. I have a location sheltered from the wind that gets full sun. Will Knockout roses do well here?
Where are you physically located?

Our retail Garden Center and corporate offices are in Louisiana, MO. The Garden Center address is 11523 Highway Nn, Louisiana, MO 63353.

What is the difference between Double knockout rose and Double knockout shrub rose?

Not Sure about the difference, but the ones I ordered from Stark Bros are
the best Roses ever, and I have ordered all colors and ordered the Collection, they all grow like crazy and put out a lot of roses.

will this roses bloom if the are in a shady area?

I live in Phoenix , AZ and the knockouts I planted thrive in full sun. The ones I planted along a wall which were more shaded didn't do as well. They bloomed, but never got full and pretty. The ones planted in full sun got full and bushy and are prolific bloomers. I recommend you don't plant them in a shady area.

are these trees or shurbs?

They are shrubs. Mine are budding right now. Very beautiful roses. Hope you enjoy yours as much as me if you decide to buy them. Wish I could post a pic for you on here. I just took one two days ago.

Are these thornless or almost thornless?

Those are thorny roses.

I got a bunch of these roses, and the range from 3-5 feet tall. I have had them for several years, and they are all doing great.

shipping in november. can they be planted at this time? PA/OH area

We appreciate you reaching out to us. Because weather and soil conditions vary so much from year to year and even within your zone, it's best to think of your planting time as a range of favorable conditions instead of an exact time.

You can plant new plants and trees:
1) when the ground is not frozen.
2) when daytime temperatures are above freezing (32ºF) and below 90ºF.
3) when extreme weather (blizzard, hail, torrential rain, etc.) is not in the forecast. Be sure to keep plants watered if you're transplanting in warm and/or dry weather.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!

Do the knock outs come in various colors?

They do, indeed. Here is a page that shows all of the colors we carry: //www.starkbros.com/products/garden-plants/roses

The rose that lived...
I bought one of these from a local retailer and, since it hadn't died (like pretty much everything I plant), I ordered the "collection". While I can't say that they thrived in that first year, they all survived the winter. The good news is now that I've learned a bit about proper soil pH, rose food, and insect & fungus control, they're doing great. The neighbors have stopped and asked about them --and not the usual "what happened?", but some actual compliments for a change.

Outstanding!
When I first receive my shipment, I was a little taken back by how small they actually were. Most were about 4 inches tall. I prepped the ground with mulch and a small amount of fertilizer and planted them. I watered them and waited. I didn't have to wait long as by July they were starting to take off and start blooming. I pinched off the flower buds as I wanted to encourage strong growth, but by August, I couldn't keep up and just let them bloom. They continued to grow and bloom until a heavy frost in October and by then they were 2' tall and 2' wide. Very pleased and highly recommended.

I love Double Knock Out Roses.
I have been purchasing Knock Out Roses from Stark Brothers since 2012. I love this rose. Very disease resistant, grows in shade and sun, provides a full bloom of roses, to the point you can hardly see the foliage, in the spring and continues to bloom here in N. California until December. They will get up to 8 feet tall if you don't prune them down in early spring but in some cases that is a good thing if you are trying to hid an eyesore. .
