Description
So versatile, nutritious and tasty. A deliciously spicy lettuce alternative that’s native to the Mediterranean. The peppery flavor is all the rage in salads! Toss a handful of pretty dark-green leaves into hot pasta or onto a baked pizza at the last minute. Arugula is loaded with vitamins and is exactly what doctors refer to when they tell you to eat “dark leafy greens”. Very easy to grow, produces leaves very quickly and is also cold-tolerant — tastes even better after a light frost. Succession-plant for continued harvest or cut-and-come-again. Summer plantings can be located in part-shade to avoid bolting, and for better flavor. One of our most popular annual greens. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.
