Description
Among the best-tasting of all tomatoes, period. Super-tomato flavor, with antioxidants galore; comparable levels to blueberries and blackberries. Striking blue-black skin and very meaty, deep-red flesh. Intensely tomato-y, smooth and savory taste, with earthy tones. Add a teaspoon of baking soda to the planting hole to slightly sweeten the fruit. Hangs nicely on the vine, and stores very well – flavor even improves with a couple of days of room-temperature storage. Deer-resistant. Indeterminate. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.

I tasted one of these tomatoes last summer and it was delicious. It is also a novelty & conversation piece. I decided that I wanted to grow some of these tomatoes here in my garden.
