Description

The shape, size and color of a lemon, it grows great here, with huge yields and the best resistance to insects we have seen in a summer squash. Very tasty, great fried! A favorite, this is a superb market variety and very attractive. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.

  • Days to germinate: 5-10 days
  • Days to maturity: 55 days
  • Start indoors: 3-4 weeks before last frost. Sow ½-1” deep in sterile planting medium.
  • Transplant spacing: 12-24"
  • Sow outdoors after the last frost.
  • Seed spacing: 24-48"
  • Mature plant: 1-3' tall and 2-4' wide
  • Produce size: 6-8 oz. each
