Description

This grafted Chinese Chestnut makes a captivating shade tree. The serrated leaves of the Sleeping Giant are extensive and glossy. Consistently produces large nuts with soft spiny shells. Late flowering enables them to escape spring frosts. Ripens in September. For proper pollination, plant two selected seedlings or a grafted chestnut variety.
