Description

Ferti-lome® 2-N-1 Systemic handles two of the most common rose and ornamental shrub problems simultaneously — insect pests and fungal diseases — in a single soil drench application that protects the entire plant, including new growth, from the inside out. The systemic delivery mechanism is what makes it so effective and so different from surface sprays: water moves the active ingredient down into the root zone, where the plant absorbs and transports it throughout its entire system. The whole plant is protected. New growth that emerges after application is protected too. And because the protection comes from within the plant rather than sitting on the surface, rain and watering can’t wash it off. Apply in spring when plants are actively growing, then reapply every 6 weeks for a total of 3 applications per season.

Two Problems, One Application — Insects and Disease Together

The 2-N-1 name means what it says. A single soil drench application simultaneously controls a comprehensive list of both insect pests and fungal diseases — eliminating the need for separate insecticide and fungicide applications on roses, flower beds, azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, and other landscape shrubs.

Diseases controlled: Black spot, powdery mildew, rust, and southern blight — on roses, flowers, and landscape shrubs.

Insects controlled: Adelgids, aphids, black vine weevil larvae, borers, Japanese beetles, lace bugs, leaf beetles, leafhoppers, leafminers, mealybugs, pine tip moth larvae, psyllids, sawfly larvae, scales, thrips, whiteflies, and more listed on the label.

Systemic — New Growth Protected Too

Most contact insecticides and fungicides protect only the surfaces they touch at application. Ferti-lome® 2-N-1 Systemic works throughout the plant — including foliage that hasn’t even emerged yet at application time. As new growth develops, it’s already protected. That systemic coverage is particularly valuable for roses and ornamentals that push new growth continuously through the season and would otherwise require repeat spraying to keep new leaves covered.

Application Rates

Roses: 2 fl. oz. in 1 quart of water per plant.
Flower beds: 2 fl. oz. in 2 gallons of water per 12 sq. ft.
Azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, and other shrubs: 1 fl. oz. in 1 quart of water per foot of plant height.

Apply every 6 weeks for 3 applications per season. In sandy soils or high-disease-pressure areas, shorten to every 4–5 weeks for 4 applications per season.
