BEST ANSWER: I applied this product only at the beginning of the spring . . .
What is best way to prevent weeds in raspberry beds?
Johnnie Vee on Feb 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We put a fluffy, non-compacted, 4-6" layer of straw (not hay!) across the raspberry bed. A few weeds came up but they had no solid ground to root into so they were simple to pull when they emerged.
Can this fertilizer be used on established beds? My plants are not producing...very little raspberries. This is an older bed. I'm planning to plant some Stark Latham raspberries in the spring, too. Thanks for your help!
Kathy on Nov 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Raspberries often benefit from heavy cultivation and pruning. Starks raspberry food has been doing very well for me. I also add a little compost each season.
Is it necessary to weigh this product on a scale to four ounces as stated on the label or can one estimate that 1/2 cup per gallon is four ounces?
Luigi on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, a half a cup is oz . Either way works
How much is too much? I mixed up a gallon and poured it along my one row (`~20 ft) of 6 raspberry plants. It didn't really saturate around the plants, but I don't want to overdo it!
Lindsey on Apr 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You're good! That is exactly the right amount. The next rainfall or watering will distribute the food down further into the soil. One gallon of solutions treats a 20' row, so you are spot on.

200% growth
I used this product, applied it according to instructions. Nothing has ever worked as good. My plants tripled in size and I have harvested more berries this year than the last 4 years combined. Plants not only showed good growth but new shoots are sprouting everywhere.

Big Spring Kick....
I just planted new bare root raspberry plants. I gave them Stark's Raspberry Plant Food at planting. All 6 different cultivars, a total of 24 plants have taken off.
I will use this product in the future.

Hold on Tight!
This fertilizer really kicks into high gear about 2 weeks after application. My Raspberries are giving me about a quart a day right now, some canes are as tall as I am.

this product is great
I used the raspberry food early this Spring on my two rows of raspberries (about 80 feet long). We had the most incredible harvest of raspberries this year! We made so much jam, juice, pie, vinegar, and froze a ton of berries. We almost couldn't use all of the harvest - there was so many berries! I will use this product every year.

Great Food for Red and Black Raspberries
I used this Raspberry Food on my year old Raspberry plants. The plants are strong and healthy looking. The Heritage Raspberries should be ripening soon and there are so many, can't wait to harvest them. The black raspberry plants are larger than expected for one year old transplants. Will continue to buy this Raspberry Food for my raspberry plants, they apparently love it! Thank you, Stark Bros.
