Good
I planted these two or three days after our after they arrived, which was a mistake..
Some looked dead and did die, but I still got 10 healthy survivors, they are growing nicely and putting out runners. Some produced fruit, but the animal eat them.

Thank you for asking! 17 of the root stocks are surviving the Arkansas summer and are currently growing more rapidly. I suppose they like the cooler weather we are experiencing now and off course that I keep them watered and mulched with pine needles. Many thanks for your support and I look forward to tasting them in the future....:)

The plants arrived in good health, and thanks to a nice rainy spell took off right away. I look forward to getting a few berries yet this fall. Removing runners so the plants put all of their energy into the main plant made it possible to see fantastic growth. Love these plants!

Didn't Have a Chance
I bought 25 plants and planted them in our 16' by 4'-long bed in the spaces between older plants. They started to grow just fine. Then we saw 2 of our neighbor's young rabbits eating them. They had nipped off the top of the new growth leaving two stems sticking up on each plant. I was dismayed and ticked off. My husband put a net over the whole bed, and most of the strawberry plants recovered, but haven't produced strawberries, so I will have to give a better review next year.
