Why did you choose this?

Because I couldn't get 25 bare root Tristars. If I could get them for the same price, I would rather have them.

Strawberry plants are growing
The strawberry plants are growing, but unfortunately, I can't keep the rabbits out or the raccoon or the squirrels or whatever else they dug them up several times. I only have about four left that be done very well though even had a strawberry on one, but then something got.

Strong Hardy plants that produce berries the first summer. This summer I have had a few berries, but the birds are "sharing" with me.

great choice
I have never grown strawberries before. I ordered these on a whim and planted them in a water trough planter. The plants were brown and dry when they arrived. After a few days of being in the soil, they began to grow. I now have such, thick plants that are producing strawberries, even though I thought it would take a year before they produced. Berries are large and flavorful. I am ordering more next year

Hardy and healthy
I was unsure how many of these roots would grow when I planted them only because they were all different sizes and had been chilling in my crisper drawer for a week or so. I've been so surprised! At least 85% of these plants have already started sprouting leaves after only a week in ground. These are very hardy plants!

Hearty plants with lovely sweet berries.
Big beautiful strawberry plants with large deliciously sweet strawberries. Only about half survived the harsh drought we had last year. The remaining ones are spreading and doing very well! I was such a fan, that I bought 50 more this season to help the patch spread.

Bare roots look great ! No complaints, healthy looking roots. Hopefully they do as well as the last ones we got from stark.

5 Stars - Thriving Tribute Strawberries!
I ordered bare root Tribute strawberry plants from StarkBros.com and they've exceeded my expectations. The plants arrived in great condition-fresh, firm roots and no signs of damage or drying out.

I planted them the same day and within a week, I noticed new green growth starting to pop up. It's clear these are high-quality plants with strong potential. I'm especially excited about the Tribute variety since it produces all season long-can't wait for fresh berries straight from the garden!

Stark Bros consistently delivers top-notch products, and these strawberries are no exception. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start or expand their berry patch.

Another winner...
I ordered a 25 pack on sale of bare root Sequoia and Tribute strawberry plants. I prepped 50 each 3" starting pots with a moistened mix of 1 part potting soil and 1 part perlite (50/50). When the roots arrived I soaked them for an hour in water and separated them from the bundle. Both sets had 27-28 roots in them and all of the crowns were soft with just a peak of a leaf showing. I trimmed the roots to 2" in length, spread then out a bit and placed then into their individual pots that had an inch of soil mix in the bottom. Holding the crown up I back filled the rest of the pot with only the crown showing. I gently watered the crowns to wash off some soil and settled the mix into the pots. Making sure the crowns were above the soil level I put them under my grow lights, checking on them daily and after a week ALL of my 55 plants had 1-3 leaves growing and doing well. In a couple of weeks my planter bed will be ready and I'll transplant them all. If they don't make it at this point it's on me. Very satisfied with the quality and survival rate of these plants as I have been with all of Stark's plants in the past. The key for me was to have everything ready to go when the plants arrived and to not over water the plants.
