Description

New Product!

A much-improved Fuji. Brilliant color, more purely red and somewhat larger than the original Fuji. Very attractive dark red striping over a lighter red ground color. Sweet and crisp, just like Fuji, but does better further north. Excellent storage qualities; tastes just-picked as late as March! Use as you would any Fuji, for fresh eating, baking or canning. Ripens in mid-October. Best pollinators: Granny Smith or Stark® GrandGala™.

Is this apple resistant to blight and disease?
Fred d on Mar 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not as much as Stark Super Red Fuji. Most all Fujis are somewhat susceptible to blight and scab; Super Red is documented to be resistant to scab and mildews.
Is this genetically modified or hybridized?
Lisa T on Mar 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There is a vast difference between hybridized and GMO. All of our trees are non-GMO, but many are hybridized, as is Myra Red Fuji. If you're interested in learning about the differences, here's a good article: //www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/article/organic-vs-non-gmo-vs-hybrid-whats-the-difference
Would this be a good pollinator for a Starkrimson Gala and/or an Orleans Antique?
Melissa P on Jan 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: For the Gala it will be a good partner, but there is not enough bloom-time overlap for it to work with the Orleans Antique.
