Description
One of the best old-fashioned American apples. Tree consistently produces a medium-sized glossy, green-yellow fruit with a pale red flush; late season. Flesh is juicy, tender, and crisp making it ideal for cider, sauce and baking. Flavor is reminiscent of Spy apples. Keeps well and flavor matures in proper storage. Antique variety, originates from New York, circa 1790s. Cold-hardy. Ripens in late October. Pollinator required: Choose another apple variety. See Recommended Pollinators below.
