what is the chance of surviving indoors in zone 7?
BEST ANSWER: Very good! Just keep it in a sunny window all winter and keep it evenly moist. Gradually move it outdoors in the early summer, and bring it back in when the nighttime temps drop into the upper 50s.

How long before tangerine trees produce fruit?
What type of pot is best for a citrus tree.... clay or resin?
BEST ANSWER: Cast stone is really best, but second to that is plastic. Clay has to be watered more frequently and over time will flake; if it freezes, it will crack.

When moving the plant indoors for winter how much sunlight and temperature range is required ?
BEST ANSWER: The closer you can approximate the weather in Zones 9-10 - which is hot and humid, with daytime highs reaching from the 70s to the low 90s - the more the tree will thrive. It needs at least 6 solid hours of full sun each day. A greenhouse is ideal, but a warm indoor environment with lots of sun will do. If you need to humidify the plant, please do not mist the leaves as that will encourage fungus problems. Sit the tree on a tray of moist pebbles instead and create a mini-environment around the plant that is high in humidity.

Does tangerine bush require cross pollination?
BEST ANSWER: It is self-pollinating, so it will produce fruit by itself as long as the pollen is manually moved from flower to flower.

Unfortunately, my plant didn't make it.
The plant arrived in good condition with just a broken branch and leaf as expected from the travel. It was kept indoors due to the colder weather we were experiencing. But, all leaves dropped within a short period and I just couldn't get it to revive. Too bad though, it smelled great when it arrived!

Tangerine kit
The pot and saucer that came with the kit was WAY to large for the small tangerine tree I received. I think that the price was very high
