An excellent choice for first-time fruit growers. Freestone. Developed in Merced, California, introduced by Stark Bro’s in 1962. Ripens in early August. Self-pollinating.

Hardy and forgiving.
I waited to write a review, I wanted to see how the tree performed. I had to move it in its 2nd year inground and it adapted beautifully. We are into its 3rd year and the growth is beautiful. I've been deliberately pruning it to keep it short and manageable and the tree has adapted well. I now have the form I want and will allow it to fruit next year. Very pleased with this purchase.

So far the Sunglo is bright
Growing well and seems to spread branches decently. As sold, the flowers are supposed to survive frost? Still haven't gotten fruit yet, so it's hard to know what that's going to be like

Great flavor
I purchased this tree two years ago, and this is actually the second season I have gotten fruit. The flavor is absolutely outstanding! I don't understand the poor ratings, unless they're coming from people who don't know how to grow fruit trees. Obviously you have to feed them, you have to treat them for diseases/pests, keep them watered, and etc.

The best tasting nectarine I have ever eaten.
Planted this little tree last year and the thing managed to set fruit this season! The best tasting nectarine I have ever eaten, semi free stone, way too much juice hidden inside. I'm ordering more of this variety for my urban orchard

Dwarf SunGlo Nectarine
It has only been in the ground one summer
But the tree came packaged very well as always with this company it also was very healthy with green foliage and a tree tag stating what type of tree it was and the size in my case a dwarf tree.
I can also say the entire summer even with record heat temperature i haven't seen in years it did extremally well but i made sure it was watered every third day
I would highly recommend this company the price is a little high but they offer a one year guarantee which i haven't seen anyone else offer this

Doing well & producing
Planted Fall of 2020. Zone 6a. Only planted one tree. Had a few small nectarines in 2022 but pulled them off so tree could focus on root growth. August of 2023 got my first crop of 5 small nectarines. Tree looking very healthy. Around 4 foot tall right now. Not using any chemicals or sprays.

Dwarf SunGlo Nectarine
The dwarf SunGlo nectarine arrived in a 4"x4" E-Z grow pot. It looked healthy on arrival and, after one year in the ground, seems to be doing well in my arid, 6500' altitude New Mexico orchard. The accompanying photo shows the tree after it's very recent first summer pruning.

The tree arrived well packaged and alive. It's planted and growing. Of course, it will take seveal years to see the final result, but so far so good!

3 different nectarine trees
2 years ago i bought 3 different Nectarine trees from Stark Bros and they have takin off . They put on almost 6 inches of trunk in just aLmost 3 years its unbelievable .
I should get tons of fruit this year from my 3 trees cant wait for spring .
The trunks are as big as a mans calf that lifts weights .
I will keep youll posted on fruit productivity and add photos . thanks Mike
