Rappahannock® Pawpaw Tree
Description
One of the earliest pawpaws. The pulp is a sunnier yellow than other pawpaws, most of which have a muted butter color. The firm flesh has a mild, sweet flavor that’s clear and refreshing. Low, low seed count. A good producer, with medium-to-large fruits that are more uniform in shape and size — ideal for a farm stand or market. Tolerant of afternoon shade. Ripens in mid-September. Grafted. For proper pollination, plant another grafted variety nearby.
