These are delicious onions - sweet, juicy and perfect for cooking with or eating raw. This is my third year to buy them. I love them.

Sweet Onions tend to be expensive in the grocery, and onions are a natural pest repellent, so i wanted to try these. They did not disappoint, we have already consumed all of what we grew this year!

I have never had a garden and am hoping to get started soon. Do you only get to plant these one time, or is there a way to save a portion (roots, etc.?) to have to plant the following season?
Ava B on Mar 27, 2020
I love the Texas Sweet Onions. I do have a large garden and planted all 60 at the same time. In fact they are the first thing I plant in my garden. I have never tried to save any for the following year, but I doubt that would work because they are a live plant not a seed. They can be harvested through out the growing season and work well whether they are still small or full grown. They keep pretty well too. Definitely dry them after picking and keep them separated and dry indoors after they have dried outside for a couple of days. Hope this helps! Bonn

Texas Super Sweet Onions, how much space do I need per package ? or how many plants are in a package?
David V on Apr 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There are 60 plants per package. You can space them closely (2-3" apart), then pull the green onions to thin them, or if you don't want green onions, plant them 6" apart.

Love them
They were very low maintenance and I cut and ate the tops 4-5 times before they dried up. Then I harvested the onion.
Very tasty!

Great Onion
This was my first time planting onions in the garden, and they have not disappointed! Very versatile, great for eating raw on a burger or battering and deep frying (petal, bloomin', or onion ring style). These do not have a harsh or sharp raw onion taste either, much more mellow and sweet.

My second year growing these onions. I doubled the amount. These are the best. Sweet and tasty. No tears. Dehydrated some and everything was gone by October.
