Many places did not sell organic seed potatoes. Potatoes absorb a lot of the toxins in the ground, being a root vegetable. I want to avoid as many toxins as possible when growing my own garden.

ruffly how many potatoes can you expect from 5-8 tubers?
Karen R on Feb 25, 2021

Here in Phoenix, planting time for potatoes is January-February but your seed potatoes don't ship until March? Can I get them now?
edward z on Jan 12, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. Potatoes ship from the growers and they are located in Maine and dig each individual order as they come in so it is fresh. This its about a 2 week process and the ground must be thawed. Unfortunately these can not ship any sooner than the ETA.
about how many hills would I get per lb.?
Kevin B on Apr 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There are 5-8 tubers in a pound; the number of hills will depend upon how many you plant per hill.

Yukon Gold Seed Potato
I have grown potatoes in the past. They are easy to grow. I used "grow bags" above the ground which gives air circulation through out the bag. You start them in 4 inches of soil mixed with peat, potting soil... Then when the greenery starts to grow and gets taller than you add more soil mix. Continue to add the soil mix while the green stems are growing until you reach the top of the bag. Then as the greenery turns yellow then have fun running your hands through the soft soil for those crispy, tasty, potatoes. Watch out for the potato bugs.
