Questions & Answers
I ordered these and planted them in front of a tree lace. I planted spring and they were more than knee high by the end of that same summer!! They were beautiful and easy. I hope this helps!
My husband just want to plan the knockout rose and which just need high around knee or less than 20". Do you think it good idea to get the petite knockout rose. How many pot should we buy to put along 25' the wall?
They are very beautiful and have a pleasant fragrance. They will draw hummingbirds butterflies and honey bees. They will get taller that 20" if you don't keep them pruned back in the fall after dormant. They will bush out quite a bit so if you do choose to plant them I would suggest 8 or 9 bushes.
Yes- these roses are very tolerant of different light levels. I have Sunny
Knockout roses growing in a north facing location with some receiving morning sun and others receiving afternoon sun. All of the roses are thriving, but the ones that receive morning sun are larger and have been blooming all summer.
It is, although they can get pretty large. You'll probably want to prune it back a bit to keep it looking proportional.

It's best to the amend the soil in the planting hole when you plant the rose bush, but don't fertilize until spring. That will encourage new growth now that will be damaged by frost/cold.
Knock out roses don't have any scent at all. Just pretty to look at.
Hi, yes it does have a smell but you have to get very close. I have mine in a pot and there are not a lot of blooms at once. I was hoping for more of a fragrance.
I have 2 sunny knock out roses, neither of which appear to be experiencing any sort of disease. In fact, a couple of other nearby roses had black spot but these 2 showed no evidence of that either.
Before planting another in their place, I'd just make sure the disease isn't transmitted via the soil.
Roses in general are often nibbled on by deer. But, my Sunny Knock-Out roses are in my back yard, behind a fence. Therefore the deer in my neighborhood leave them alone. I enjoy seeing them bloom all season long.
Yellow rose of Texas! Beautiful…..
