A home-gardener’s favorite. Delectable sweetness and few seeds makes this 1-oz. cherry a hit with kids. Large vines set huge yields of clusters of six cherry tomatoes that are disease-resistant. Thrives in a wide range of climates. Developed by famous English horticulturist Alan Chadwick. The acidic punch makes them great for fresh tomato sauce, appetizers, salads ... one of the best cherry tomatoes around! Deer-resistant. Indeterminate. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.

Trim them frequently
I could have had a huge harvest from the 3 plants I let go from the dozen or so which germinated in my 3' row. The plants quickly grow to about 8' tall and absolutely can't support their weight. I don't think that is unexpected. What was unexpected is going on a week vacation with a 4-5' plant and coming back to a tangled mess of several 8-footers. I really had to stay on top of pruning. Yield was great, but I had to cut whole branches several times after pruning got away from me, so I tossed a lot of large green tomatoes. Flavor is mild, fruit somewhat seedy. My wife and I like these in salads or mashed in a saucy soup or baked vegetable "casserole". I will be planting a larger row next year, but am going to try keeping the plants at 3-4' max.
