Right up there with Brandywine for taste and beauty. Stunning, deep, dusky purple-pink color, superb sweet flavor and very large fruit. Real old-time tomato flavor! Our favorite dark tomato and one of our best-selling varieties. Easy to seed/peel for preserving/canning. Up to 12-15 pounds of tomatoes from each plant. Prefers temperatures in the 80s rather than the 90s, but will start setting fruit when temperatures drop back after summer heat waves. Indeterminate. Outstanding!
