Description
Compact plants save precious garden space. Very early, spherical heads can weigh up to 5 lbs. and are dense, with few wasted outer leaves. Plants are more compact than other varieties and grow quickly. Harvest when the heads feel solid by lightly compressing them. Pick as soon as heads are ready to prevent splitting. The fine flavor serves a multitude of uses: coleslaw, stir fries, sauerkraut or as a corned-beef accompaniment. Seeds can also be sprouted. Resistant to “Yellows” disease and is frost-tolerant.
