Questions & Answers
Every 2 weeks after 1st crop has been picked off. My strawberries produce all season long
We have our strawberries planted in an elevated bed 24 inches above ground. We cover our
strawberries with straw over the winter and we have never had a problem in the spring.
Lime makes soil more alkaline and soil dries out faster, making watering more often. NEVER use lime for blueberries or anything you need to reduce soil ph.
I do mix with water before applying.
Thank you for your question. You should wait until spring to fertilize. At that time, use this 10-52-17 fertilizer for up to 500 feet of new strawberry plants or 250 feet of existing beds. One gallon of mixed solution covers 10 sq. ft.

9A: Plant in early winter - November
Use 40 percent shade cloth ir you will lose them to the 200 degree days of summer. Strawberries are very much a cool season pkant flourishing with 50 degree nights abd 70 degree days. I am in zone 8a and lost 209% of mine last summer after planting ist week of March - they cannot get well rooted before the demand to produce seed fruit overpowers the need to get roots established.
Customer Reviews
The first, older plants I started with last spring produced some of the best strawberries we've ever had, and even the newer, less mature plants produced a ton (albeit slightly smaller berries).
After the birds and chipmunks had their share, we had over 45 pounds out of our little patch. And I'm sure we'll get a lot more next year as the entire bed matures.
I love that this stuff dissolves in water. It makes it so much easier to apply in the right amounts, and get it straight to the shallow roots of our Honoeye berries.
Will definitely keep using this one!
