Why did you choose this?

Your recommendation

I've never grown a citrus tree before, so a success kit seemed to be a worthwhile investment!

I am having issues with my lemon trees, not sure if I am watering to much or not enough. I have had the trees for about 4 years and only one has produced a few fruit. It had lots of blooms this…

Yes

I have white stripes on my new leaves and they are all crinkled up. What is the problem?

Hi Sheri, We would love to help diagnose your plant. Please send us some photos along with a description of what is going on to info@starkbros.com.

i want to container plant this orange tree i get snow and ice in the winter.will it live here?

Hi Elvira, You can grow citrus trees, even if you get snow and ice in winter, but you have to have a warm place indoors with grow lights to keep them while it is cold outside. My lemon tree makes a beautiful house plant from about October to May. I just make sure that It gets plenty of light from grow light bulbs. From May, I start putting it outside during the day, first in a protected spot and gradually move it out into the open, but I still bring it in at night. Once all danger of cold nights has passed, I will leave it outside. This routine seems to suit it as it is growing well. Good luck with your planting!

can u send to az?

I don't think so. Not fo Az. Certain plants are restricted from entering Florida, California and P.R. Areas that can have the genetics of their money making trees changed negitively. So

Does this package includes a plant tree?

No there is no tree included with this kit.

Are you non GMO?

Stark Bro’s does not knowingly grow or offer genetically engineered plants or trees. We either graft our trees or grow them from cuttings.

Do you use neonicotinoids?
We prefer to use more earth friendly, softer chemicals like biological fungicides and insecticides, horticultural oil, insecticidal soap, and insect growth regulators.

Is this organic?
We raise our trees and plants as organically as we can. We do spray when necessary - primarily with biological/organic agents - to keep pests and diseases at bay in order to save a threatened crop, but you may raise the tree or plant as organically as you wish. Stark Bro’s does not knowingly grow or offer genetically engineered plants or trees (GMOs).

Are lemon tree pet friendly?

Every part of the lemon tree, from leaves to fruit, is laced with compounds that can upset your pets stomach.

Hi. I keep getting white mold-like stuff growing on the top of my Coco/coir that I got from you for my dwarf Meyer lemon tree (which is sproutingand doing well, despite the white moldish stuff.  I have sprayed the mold with sulfur fungicide and a dilute azoxystrobin fungicide, but it comes right back, within days, even aftera thorough soaking.  I am growing the tree inside, inside a plastic covered greenhouse.  It shares its space with three basil plants, which also are doing remarkably well, but also show signs of the moldy thing on the surface of the pot soil, just like the lemon.  What is it?  How do I kill it, if indeed I should? A person in my household is very sensitive to chemicals, so I have to be cautious.   Thank you!

I am sorry to hear that this has happened. Please email Info@starkbros.com with pictures and a brief description so someone can look into this for you.

how do you use the brick?

The brick is a potting addition that provides a healthy space for the roots. Simply place it in the pot you intend to plant in and pour a few cups of water over it. After a few minutes, It will expand as it soaks up the water. Break it apart with your hands or gardening tool and then add your potting soil mix to fill the rest of the pot. It will hold moisture longer so you may need to water your plant less often but monitor the soil as you normally would.

I’m planning to purchase 2 Clementine Mandarin and one Eureka  lemon trees from Stark Bros for my daughter in the San Antonio area. Will one Citrus FeED kit be enough to service all three trees?

Each plant would need its own kit as there is only 1 coco fiber medium in the kit. However you could by just the coco fibers separately.

If we grow this lemon in a pot in Florida (gulf coast near Fort Myers) when should we expect fruit to be ripe?

The harvest dates of the most common citrus grown in Northeast Florida are from October – December of course this can vary on the age of the plant and maintenance.

Good product
The fertilizer is great the ph monitor isn't very accurate and the coconut fiber block is good. I personally prefer Sphagnum moss from a company in Canada because of the way they harvest their moss and it has a lower ph that is good for citrus and blue berries. The main reason I bought this kit was for the fertilizer because it is good

Sadly it died.
It came a bit dried out and sadly died shortly after receiving it last year. Forgot to call to check if it was warranted.

Disappointed
The moisture meter stick doesn't tell you what the readings should be for citrus trees. Why was it recommended to buy if it's not going to help you determine if you need to water the citrus trees? I want to be successful and that's difficult if I don't have the information needed.

I am not sure how my tree will do long term. I feel like the coconut fiber holds to much moisture when I do water. The success kit directions were hard to follow as the watering key was not specific to my tree. I am not impressed with the miracle grow look alike with the blue dye for a lemon tree that may be food producing. I think organic would be better.
I probably would not buy or recommend this to a friend.

No instructions for citrus
Stark Bros has always given us great products in the past. This however, is not very good. There is nothing in the instructions about how to use this fertilizer on citrus. The meter is the same way. You would someone would’ve reviewed the instructions before putting it on the market as a “Citrus Kit”.

Dead
Tree never grew leaves and the only two it had fell off. Ridiculous amount of money for a dead twig.
