Brandywine Purple Raspberry Plant
Description
A hybrid cross between a black raspberry and a red raspberry – Brandywine is a true purple raspberry. Developed by Cornell University in N.Y. to be very adaptable and hardy. This extra-large, firm, everbearing variety is great for making wine, canning or freezing. Color develops late in the season and the purple color changes to a vibrant red when baked.
Note: Do not plant Red, Gold or Purple raspberries within 75-100 feet of Black raspberries. Black raspberries may be more susceptible to viral diseases carried by aphids to and from nearby raspberry plants.
