Cold-Hardy Raspberry Plant Collection

Available Spring 2020

Supplies are limited so make sure you don't miss out next time by having us automatically notify you when it becomes available again.

Description

Perfect plants for northern climes. We’ve specially selected these varieties for their ability to stand up to tough winters and frozen soil, even as far north as Zone 3. In the summer, you’ll be treated to jewel-like berries with incomparable flavor. All raspberries are self-pollinating, but the presence of a different variety nearby will give you an abundance of flowers and more berries from each plant. Plus, you’ll get a discounted price when purchasing a collection compared to purchasing the plants individually.

Do not plant Red, Gold or Purple raspberries within 75-100 feet of Black raspberries. Black raspberries may be susceptible to viral diseases carried by aphids from nearby raspberry plants.

Stark Bro's Store
We live in a high altitude area with extreme temperature swings. 2 out of 3 locally purchased raspberry plants failed. We have always had good success with Stark Bros. products (except when our goats ate all our strawberry plants) LOL, and appreciate the 1 year guarantee. So we are going to try these plants, and give them the full summer to establish growth.

I'm starting a raspberry patch and this seems like good value for good plants.

I have grown latham before and excellent results. Tasty, easy care and no problems. I never grew fall red, thought I would give them a try.

The University of Minnesota lists Latham as a cold hardy disease resistant variety. The owner of a local garden center has Latham in her garden.

Due to my growing zone (4B - Colorado mountains) I was looking for specifically cold hardy fruit plants and was pleased to find one named for exactly that! I was also looking for consistent berry production and am happy that this collection includes an everbearer.

We had 1 plant die, stark Bros made it right by shipping 1 new plant this spring. All of the plants are doing well. We have provided a wire trellis to support the canes at 24 and 46 inches.

Growing very well in their first summer. Much more prolific than other raspberries that we planted. Also does well in the hot dry weather.

very different sizes
The two different varieties were from noticeably different stock. One type was big and robust, the other small and piddly. After only one year in the ground, the more robust type are better established. Hoping for fruit this year now that the snow is gone.

Red raspberry plants
The plants were delivered in good time and in good condition. They were planted according to instructions bearing a minimum no. of berries first year. This being their 2nd year, they look great. All 12 plants have made it thru winter and are looking really good.
