do potted strawberries produce first year?
Tom B on Feb 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If you had planted them last fall, they would, but strawberries planted this spring will not produce until next year. You should pinch off any flowers to force the plants' energy back into producing the first crop.

Cabot Strawberries: Vigorous, very large and excellent taste
Cabot Strawberries are the best we have grown. The plant has vigorous growth. The berries are very large with excellent taste. We have grown EarliGlo, Tribute and Ozark Beauty, not to mention the duds we naively purchased from our local nursery. That makes five varieties in all, counting the Cabot Strawberry.

Big Strawberries
I love this variety. This is a very big strawberry! Consistently the size of a golf ball. My only minor complaint is that it is not as sweet (flavor) as my smaller varieties. All my neighbors freak out when they see how big they are.

Planted in 2015. Today we begin picking our first strawberries. Plants are hearty and are producing a lot of very large berries. We are extremely pleased with our purchase!

These strawberries are fabulous. They are big and have an excellent flavor. They hold up in the fridge for a few days. Best strawberries I've ever planted!

Best strawberry I've grown
Large, sweet berries and healthy plants. Arrived on time, planted late last spring and huge berries this year. If only the berries could pick-off chipmunks as they come to raid my crop!
