True McIntosh flavor with a bright red blush. Fruit color develops earlier than other McIntosh strains. Enjoy bushels of attractive, stripe-free apples with good sweet flavor. Cold-hardy. Excellent for fresh-eating and baking. Introduced circa 2000. Ripens in early September. Best pollinators: Cortland, Stark® Lodi or Stark® BraeStar™.

Linda Mac disappointment
I bought two apple trees--a Linda Mac and a MacFree.The Macfree is doing well and growing new branches.The Linda Mac,however never grew at all and I eventually pulled it after seeing no green matter under the bark or any growth.I checked down to the roots but nothing.I would like a replacement.
