Why did you choose this?
Stark Bro's Store
I was planning to order both types anyway, Saving money with the bundle. Our friends have both of these trees and have had great results.

Why 2 trees? Is it for cross-pollination? I thought Persimmon trees pollinate themselves?
Ane Shiroo on Aug 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can get these trees separately if you wish; this happens to be a collection because some people like to have different varieties of the same fruit (and it's less expensive to buy a collection than it is to buy them separately). These are both self-pollinating, but each tree will produce more/larger fruit with a pollinating partner with a similar bloom time. That is true for all self-pollinating fruit trees/plants.

Persimmon trees
Both trees are living and look healthy. They are but a year old, thus it will be a few years before I expect fruit. My older tres(2) are doing well producing fruit; not as much last year as the previous year.

Great Trees
These are slow growers, but are very healthy and beautiful trees. They are fruiting this the 3rd year which is very exciting. Nice addition to my Backyard Orchard.

Persimmon tree success
It's too early for fruit yet, but both of our persimmon trees survived the winter and have leafed out nicely this spring. They are growing well and we look forward to having fruit in a few years from now.
