Effective, balanced and easy-to-use. This all-purpose spray controls pests and diseases at the same time. It contains Captan, Malathion and Carbaryl to control a wide range of fruit-tree pests. One pint will protect eight mature dwarf trees for one full growing season. Protects fruit trees, berries, flowers and evergreens. Not for use on Pear or Asian Pear trees.

Because Bonide® Fruit Tree Spray contains a mild insecticide, it should not be used during bloom time. Give the bees a chance to pollinate your trees.

Do you spray peach trees when they are in full bloom?
lowry G on Mar 5, 2018

I just planted apple trees this season. Can I use this product on them?
Daniel P on Jun 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I follow the University of Kentucky home orchards spray schedule; you need to google your local State University horticultural information for home gardeners for what to spray and when, it's VERY helpful and important. Bonide Fruit Tree spray can be used twice a year on apples, and not within 14 days of picking the apples to eat. You need to spray first at petal fall to avoid many apple issues, when 90% petals have fallen. Then I spray again about 30 days later. Insect (worms) damage occurs from laying eggs in blooms that hatch and eat from the inside. If you don't do the early sprays, I've found that the later ones are pretty useless, damage has been done. BUT, only spray in evening when the bees have returned to their hives, as Bonide Fruit Tree spray will kill our precious bees. I also use Bonide Orchard spray effectively, from Stark, it is not so heavy duty and does much good. RS from Kentucky.
Can i use my sprayer for more than 1 kind of chemical?
todd k on May 19, 2018

I am using Bonide fruit tree spray and still get brown rot. Any suggestions?
Philip F on Sep 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Brown rot is caused by a fungus. It is imperative that you trim any branches that you see with the rot and discard by burning if allowed or bury it. Do not compost. Also, you must get rid of any fruit that has brown rot on the ground or stil on the tree. After you have cleaned up any fruit and branches that are diseased, it is best to start spraying in the spring with a copper type fungicide such as "Captan" Fruit and Ornamental spray. Start when the blossom is at pink stage and and 2 or 3 times before harvest. As always follow the directions on the label
What do you use to treat gummosis on peach trees ????
David on Aug 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Depends on the cause. Most common source of gummosis on peach (and all other stonefruits) is cytospora. If thats your culprit, sadly there is nothing you can do. Had to cut mine down after 5 yrs. ive switched to asian pears, apples, and persimmons. Standard root stocks instead of dwarf/semidwarf and fast growing varieties have a higher survival chance. You can cut the damage out manually, but that is only a temporary fix.

Corinne K on May 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Apply fruit tree spray twice (or 3 times) during the growing season. Six stages are listed because there may be differences in the application rate depending on the stage. Usually one sprays once when the leaves are just fully out and then again a month before harvest. An additional spraying (with this or other spray) in late winter is recommended to coat and kill wintering-over insects. -- homeowner with backyard fruit trees

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray
Bonide Fruit Tree Spray helped keep my 34 fruit trees from Stark from succombing to the Oriental Fruit Moth and Codling Moth. I had to keep spraying as they Codling Moths were terrible this year (2016) and I'm still battling them. It is not rated for pear trees; I sprayed on apples, cherries, peaches, pears, and plums. BONIDE ORCHARD SPRAY from Starks is best for all types of fruits.
