We appreciate you reaching out to us. Fruit trees can be growing in containers. We have two articles on our site that can help get you started for success. Search Growing Fruit Trees in Containers, Part 1 and then Part 2. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!
Late frost can zap tender fruit buds, which may be a concern in your area. If not, given the age of your cherry tree, fruit production should increase after it's yielded its first crops. If beneficials and pollen movers (bees) are not visiting your tree when it's in bloom, you can help by manually moving pollen between flowers (using a small paintbrush or cotton swab). If you have room for another variety of sweet cherry tree, cross-pollination between them should also help to boost yields. If birds are eating your fruit before you can harvest, netting is highly recommended.
May grow fine if you have enough winter chill hours--400 hours below 45 degrees or so.

This tree requires 400 chill hours, far less than most other sweet cherries.
