For cross pollination, does it matter which cherry tree I pick? Could I do a napoleon and windsor cherry tree?
Shannon H on Oct 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Shannon, This is a great question. The Windsor and Napoleon are both mid-to-mid-late bloomers so they will cross pollinate. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!
Are they dwarf ?
Tom b on Aug 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It was available in a dwarf size last time it was offered, but we cannot guarantee that size will be available next spring. Even if it is only offered as a semi-dwarf, it's easy to prune it to keep it smaller.
What is the difference in standard and supreme standard trees?
Tina N on May 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: When shipped, regular trees are about 3-4' tall and/or with a 3/8" or larger trunk diameter. A Stark® Supreme Tree is one of the season's top-grade, bare-root trees that gives you a head start on growing. When Supreme trees are shipped, they are about 4-5' tall and/or with a 5/8" or larger trunk diameter.
Will a black tartarian cherry pollinate the Windsor sweet cherry?
Vencent on Apr 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately not. Black Tartarian blooms too late to pollinate Windsor.
Do you need another sweet cherry tree for pollination or can you use a tart cherry for that?
Marsha K on Mar 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Tart cherries will not pollinate sweet cherries; you will need another sweet cherry variety with the same bloom time, like Starkrimson.
How long with the tree take to bare fruit?
Autumn M on Mar 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You can find the years-to-bear information in the Characteristics section, near the top of the page, underneath the description. This tree takes 4-7 years to bear.
Do you have to have a male and female cherry tree?
Kevin on Mar 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Cherry trees are not "male" and "female". Most sweet cherries require the pollen of a different variety of sweet cherry in close proximity in order to produce fruit. If these two varieties have a similar bloom time, both trees will produce cherries.
Will this pollinate a Lapin Cherry?
Stuart on Mar 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will. They're in the same flowering group.
Is this tree self-pollinating?
Steve S on Dec 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, this tree, as most sweet cherry trees do, requires a pollinator. We recommend Starkrimson® because of its similar bloom time, and the fact that it's a fine sweet cherry in its own right.
Can A Whitegold Cherry Tree Pollinate a Windsor Cherry Tree?
Kevin D on Oct 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately not. Whitegold blooms too early to pollinate Windsor.

Ordered this for a pollinator for my Bing Cherry Tree. Although it is still small it continues to be a very healthy viable tree.
