Strawberry Fruit Water Recipe

Prep Time: 15 min. | Chill Time: 4 hr. | Serves: 8-10

  • 4 cups strawberries, halved
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 8 large mint leaves (optional, or to taste)
  • 2/3 cups water
  • 7 additional cups water (set aside)

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently turn the strawberries, mint leaves, honey, and 2/3 cup water together. Cover mixture with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
  2. Remove from refrigerator and place chilled ingredients into a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  3. To strain, pour the blended mixture (purée) through a wire-mesh sieve placed over a large mixing bowl or pitcher. Discard the seeds and pulp.*
  4. Add the remaining 7 cups of water to the strained purée and stir well.
  5. Place the finished Strawberry Water in the refrigerator to chill for several hours before serving, or pour over ice and serve immediately. Optional: garnish with slices of fruit or additional mint leaves.

*If you don't mind the seeds – instead of discarding the pulp, spread it thinly on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet and bake for approximately 3 hours at 170ºF to make a simple, homemade fruit leather.
